AI-assisted product images and alt text.

Using Claude Code to template hundreds of product images and write ADA-compliant alt text in one pass.

The problem

Every product image has to match the site’s template for consistency, or it can overflow and look unprofessional. Every image also needs good alt text. Doing both by hand in Photoshop is slow.

What I did

  • Used Claude Code to template hundreds of images at a time to our site’s standard.
  • Generated ADA-compliant alt text at the same time, written to an upload-ready file.
  • Along the way, found out the platform can import alt text in bulk, and sometimes the image assignments too.

The result

A long manual job became a batch job, and the bulk-import path is useful in other situations too. Before this, the workflow was copying chatbot output into product attributes one at a time.
